Osprey received honorable mention awards for both best magazine and best magazine story at the 2016 California College Media Association Awards.
Former Humboldt State student and Osprey photo editor Alexander Woodard received the honorable mention for best magazine story for his piece “Search and Rescue” from the spring 2015 issue. The fall 2015 issue received an honorable mention for best magazine, whose editor in chief was Jami Eiring.
“This is a wonderfully done magazine in a very competitive filed this year,” the judge’s comments said. “The story selection, photos and design were beautifully done.”
