The California College Media Association awarded Osprey reporter Erin Chessin with Best Magazine Story for her investigative story “Fighting Words” about the unsolved murder of HSU student Josiah Lawson. Chessin interviewed key witnesses to the April 2017 killing who provided graphic details of the crime. The story also looked at the police’s failed attempt to find the killer. Chessin’s story received the top award among all the entries for college magazines in the state of California. You can read her story at https://issuu.com/ospreymagazine/docs/osprey_fall_2017.
